PTA IMEI Check Instructions
Use these steps to verify whether a phone is PTA approved before you buy it or start using it in Pakistan.
How to find your IMEI
Dial *#06# on the phone to display the IMEI instantly.
On Android, you can also open Settings → About Phone → Status.
On iPhone, open Settings → General → About.
For dual-SIM phones, note both IMEI numbers and verify each one separately.
How to check PTA approval
- Copy the 15-digit IMEI number exactly as shown on the device.
- Visit the official PTA DIRBS / device verification portal.
- Enter the IMEI and submit the check request.
- Review the returned device status and registration details.
Before buying a used phone
- Check the IMEI before making payment.
- Make sure the IMEI on the box matches the IMEI shown in settings.
- Verify both IMEIs on dual-SIM phones.
- Avoid devices reported as non-compliant, blocked, or unregistered.
